What Got Shipped Today - 15/10/26 - Meeting minutes with actions, procurement steps that plan themselves, and paid dates on every claim

Published: 15 October 2026 Features Meeting minutes that read like real minutes: formatting, 1.1.1 sub-items and actions User Story As a client-side project lead running PCG meetings, I want to format my minutes, break long items into numbered points and put a name and a date against every action, so the minutes I issue are the action list everyone works from. Before Minute items were plain text. A long item like "1.1 Status" was one block, and the only way to assign an action was to type a name in brackets at the end of the line and hope someone noticed. After Minute items now have a formatting toolbar (bold, italic, underline, bulleted and numbered lists) that only appears on the item you are editing. Any item can be broken into 1.1.1, 1.1.2 sub-items, which can be reordered, deleted and saved into templates. Every item and sub-item has "+ Action": pick people or whole companies from the attendee list and add a due date. Actions print as an Action column on Export PDF and on the issued minutes, and show in the read-only views on the client portal and the builder's "From client" tab. Impact Minutes stop being a record of what was said and become a record of who is doing what by when. No retyping into a separate action log, no ambiguity in the PDF that goes to the client. (1) Assign people or whole companies and a due date to any minute item. (2) Sub-items take their own actions too. (1) Bold, italic, underline and lists in minute items. (2) Break an item into numbered 1.1.1 sub-items. Known limitations Templates carry formatting and sub-items but not actions, since actions belong to a specific meeting. Procurement steps in days or dates, with an owner and an action item for each User Story As a contract administrator, I want each procurement step to plan itself from the one before, belong to a named person, and land in my action list, so long-lead items stop slipping between the procurement schedule and the people doing the work. Before Every procurement activity step needed a hand-typed date. Move the Required On Site date and every step had to be re-dated by hand. Steps had no owner of their own, and nothing connected a step to the Delivery action list where the team actually works. After Each step has a Days | Date switch. Enter a number of days and Horizon works out the date from the step before it (the first step counts from the Procurement Start Date), or pin a step to a fixed date. "Set all to Days / Date" switches every step at once. Steps belong to the package's Procurement Owner by default and can be handed to anyone. In the package drawer's Progress tab, "Create action item" turns a step into a Delivery Action Item, assigned to the step owner, due on the step's date, with the usual reminders. The step then shows the action item's live status and links straight to it. If a step's date or owner changes later, Horizon flags the difference instead of changing the action item behind your back. Impact Change one date and the whole schedule moves with it. Every step has a name against it, and procurement work shows up in the same action list as the rest of the job. (1) Set each activity step in days or by a fixed date. (2) Every step has an owner, the package owner by default. Known limitations Procurement Start Dates are now exactly the Required On Site Date minus the Planned Lead Time. A few packages previously showed a day earlier; they correct themselves the next time each package is saved. See when, and how, a claim or invoice was paid User Story As a finance manager, I want to see the date a payment actually landed and whether it came from Xero or was marked by hand, so I can answer "has this been paid?" without opening Xero. Before A record showed "Paid" and nothing else. No payment date, no source, and no way to tell a part payment from a full one without going to Xero. After The Paid pill on head contract and subcontractor registers now shows the payment date and its source (synced from Xero, or marked by hand). Part payments show as Part paid with the amount still due. Payment details are pulled back from Xero on every sync, and existing Xero-linked records have been backfilled, so the history is there from day one. Marking a record paid by hand now records the payment date, the amount and who marked it. Impact Cash position questions get answered from the register. Days-to-pay becomes visible, and part payments stop hiding behind a green "Paid". (1) The Paid pill now shows the date the payment landed and where it came from, here synced from Xero. Improvements Multi-trade tenders: one package, your trades as sections With Multi-trade selected, the trades you tick now become the trade sections of a single package, instead of one package per trade. The guidance under the mode cards says exactly that. In Trades & Schedule you can add several trade sections at once with a bulk "Add trades" picker, and sections you have not saved yet are kept when the package refreshes. (1) Multi-trade now creates one package that spans your trades. (2) The trades you tick become that package's sections. Cost code pickers start with this project's budget codes, everywhere Following yesterday's update, the cost code pickers on head contract variation line items, Budget Register manual entries and Construction Program tasks now also show this project's budget codes by default, with "Show all cost codes" when you need the full list. A roomier Subcontract SoV Builder The Subcontract SoV Builder now opens at close to full screen, and the Link Programme Tasks panel is wider so every selected task stays visible. Portal links take you straight to the item Drawing and View Notice links in portal emails now open the drawing or notice itself, not the portal Dashboard. Builders who open a portal link with their own account are taken to the same item in the Deep Space web app instead of a "No Portal Access" screen. Subcontractor portal project tiles now show the project's client. Fixes Milestone retention steps down only once Practical Completion is recorded A "Practical Completion" retention rule could drop a subcontract to its lower rate as soon as the planned PC date passed, even with work still in progress. The lower rate now applies only once Practical Completion is recorded as reached (Edit Subcontract, Key Dates, "Practical Completion reached"), and each payment schedule uses the rate in force at the end of the claim period it covers. The Retentions tab shows whether PC has been recorded. Schedules already issued are not recalculated. Saving a head contract SoV keeps certified values Saving a head contract Schedule of Values in SOV Setup no longer resets certified value and progress on lines that have already been claimed. Tender invites reach the Directory's default tender contacts Contacts marked "Default contact for: Tender" in the Directory are now included in tender invites, instead of being replaced by the company's pre-filled main contact. The invite pickers show the real recipients. More fixes Supplier invoices with large quantities and fine unit rates now push to Xero without being rejected over a one cent rounding difference. Credit notes can be moved to another project from the Invoice Register's "Change project" dropdown. Site Photos no longer skips pages while scrolling, so every day shows all the photos its header counts. Have feedback or an idea? Share it through the feedback portal in the platform. We read every one.
