What Got Shipped Today - 13/10/26 - HSEQ Quick Actions, addenda that reach the right trades, and a programme search that finds cost codes
Published: 13 October 2026 Features Quick Actions on the HSEQ Dashboard User Story As an HSEQ manager, I open the HSEQ Dashboard every morning but had to leave it to raise anything, so I can now start a permit, inspection, incident, SWMS or induction straight from the dashboard. Before The HSEQ Dashboard showed the state of safety on the project (incidents, permits, inductions, sign ons) but had nothing to act on. Raising a record meant finding the right register in the HSEQ menu first. After A Quick Actions panel sits on the HSEQ Dashboard, matching the one on the Delivery Dashboard: Create New Permit, New Site Inspection, Report Incident, New SWMS and New Site Induction, plus Ask KAI across the bottom. Each button opens the same create form you get from that register, for the project you have selected. Impact An incident or near miss gets logged from the page the HSEQ team already lands on, minutes after it happens rather than at the end of the day. (1) The new Quick Actions panel on the HSEQ Dashboard: create a permit, inspection, incident, SWMS or induction, or Ask KAI, without leaving the page. Addenda go to the trades they affect, and you can see who has opened them User Story As an estimator running a tender with thirty trades, I re-sent every addendum to everyone and then chased who had seen it, so I can now issue an addendum to exactly the trades it touches and see who has opened it. Before Every invitee received every tender document, and an addendum went to the whole invite list. There was no clear view of which subcontractors had opened the latest revision. After Tender Sets have a Trade access grid: documents down the side, trade sections across the top, everything ticked by default. Untick a row, a column, or shift-click a block to keep documents away from trades that do not need them, and the grid stays editable after you publish. When documents in the current tender set have newer versions in the register, the package shows a banner, "N documents have newer versions", that opens Issue Addendum with those documents already picked. The addendum preview shows who will be notified (the invitees whose trades the changed documents touch), with a Notify all invitees switch. Each addendum shows how many affected invitees have viewed and downloaded it, flags anyone who has not opened the latest addendum, and greys out invitees it does not affect. In the tender portal, an addendum that does not touch a bidder's trades is shown for information only and never blocks their submission. Impact Subbies get a complete, relevant set for their trade, addenda stop landing in the wrong inboxes, and you know who is pricing off the latest drawings before tenders close. Known limitations Nothing sends on its own. The banner opens the addendum flow and you still click Issue. (1) When documents in the tender set have newer versions in the register, the package says so. (2) Issue addendum opens with those documents already picked. (3) Trade access: trade sections across the top, (4) tender documents down the side; untick a cell, row or column to keep documents away from trades that do not need them. (5) One click puts every document back to every trade. Set the margin method per project, and convert existing records in one step User Story As a commercial manager, when we changed how margin shows in the Budget Register we had to ask Deep Space to convert our old variations by hand, so I can now switch a project's margin method and convert what is already there myself. Before The margin method (Embedded or Cost-coded) was a single company setting, and changing it only affected new records. Existing head contract variation lines kept the old method until someone ran a manual data fix. After Margin method and Margin Cost Code now live in each project's Project Settings, under Commercial Defaults, with inline Save and Save & convert existing records buttons. Company Settings, Commercial shows a card that takes you to the project setting, and existing projects have carried over your previous company setting. Convert existing records previews first: how many records change, the target method, the Margin Cost Code and the Budget Register rows affected. Nothing is written until you confirm. It works in both directions, and when you change the margin code. Impact Commercial teams can change how margin is reported on a project at any point, without a support ticket and without touching sell, cost, SOV, claim or certified values. Known limitations Convert changes the margin method recorded on head contract variation lines only. Only admins, workspace managers and the project's PM can run it. (1) Margin method now lives in each project's Project Settings, under Commercial Defaults. (2) Pick Embedded or Cost-coded for this project. (3) Convert existing records previews every change before anything is written. Improvements Submittal emails and pages read like a formal document control record User Story As a project manager issuing submittals to clients and consultants, our submittal email looked rougher than our transmittals, so it now carries the same client-ready layout and our company logo. Before The submittal email used internal wording, gave no full recipient list and put every recipient under To. The public submittal page had no company branding. After The submittal email now matches the client-ready transmittal: a clearly set out message, the Company, Project, Submittal ID, date, Issued By (name and company) and recipients split into To and CC. When you pick recipients for a submittal you can now switch each one between To and CC, including external reviewers, and a reopened draft keeps that split. The public submittal page shows your company logo, like the transmittal page. Impact Transmittals and submittals going out side by side look like they come from the same company, and the record shows who was asked to respond and who was copied in. (1) Your company logo on the submittal email and public page. (2) Company, Project, Submittal ID and date set out like a transmittal. (3) Issued By, then recipients split into To and CC. Programme search finds cost codes, WBS and subcontractors, and shows every match clearly User Story As a project manager, I searched the programme for a cost code and got zero results even though I could see it on the row, so search now finds cost codes, WBS numbers and subcontractors, and the matches stand out. Before The Construction Program search only matched task names, and matched rows got a faint yellow outline that disappeared on completed (green) rows. After Search also matches the Cost Code (code and name), WBS and Subcontractor columns. Matching rows are filled amber across the grid and the timeline, and the current match is darker with an outline. Press Enter or Shift+Enter to step to the next or previous match, and the counter shows where you are (for example 1/3). Lookahead Planning gets the same search. Impact Find every task carrying a cost code or trade in seconds, which makes linking costs and checking a subcontractor's work far quicker. (1) Searching a cost code finds every task that carries it and shows your position, here 1 of 3. (2) The current match is filled solid amber, even on completed rows. Fold the Estimation summary away and give the BoQ the screen User Story As an estimator working in the BoQ, the pricing explainer and summary cards took up half my screen, so I can now fold them away and keep the headline numbers in view. Before The "How pricing works on a BOQ line" explainer and the BoQ version and summary cards always sat at the top of the Estimation page. After A Hide summary / Show summary button on the Estimation header folds both blocks away. While folded, a one-line digest (version, sell and margin) stays on the header. Your choice is remembered next time you open Estimation. Impact More rows on screen while you price, without losing sight of the totals. (1) With the summary folded away, version, sell and margin stay on the header. (2) Show summary brings the explainer and summary cards back. Subcontract SoV shows every linked programme task, in programme order User Story As a contracts administrator, I could not tell which programme tasks I had linked to an SoV line because the picker ran backwards and the line showed one cut-off name, so the picker now follows the programme and the line lists every task. Before The Link Programme Tasks picker listed stages and tasks in reverse, and the footer only said how many tasks were selected. The SoV line showed one truncated task name, so same-named tasks in different stages looked identical. After The picker lists phases and tasks in the same order as the Construction Programme Gantt. A "Selected" list pinned at the top shows each linked task with its stage and lets you remove it, and reopening the picker scrolls to the first linked task. On the SoV line (and a new Programme Tasks column on the saved SoV tab), linked tasks are listed with the stage below each name, up to two and then "+N more", with the full list on hover. Impact Contracts teams can check at a glance that each SoV line is tied to the right part of the programme, so progress rolls up from the right tasks. (1) Search the programme by task or phase. (2) The Link Programme Tasks picker now lists phases and tasks in the same order as the Construction Programme Gantt. Upload revisions: reorder sheets before stacking, and fill set-wide details once User Story As a document controller registering a 50-sheet consent set, I keyed the same Document Type on every sheet and could not control which sheet became current, so I can now set shared details once and order sheets before stacking. Before In Upload revisions, sheets sharing a drawing number showed drag handles that did nothing, so Stack all used PDF page order. Document Type, Discipline, Status, Set and Revision Date had to be filled sheet by sheet. After Drag sheets within a same-number group into the order you want, and Stack all uses that order. In New documents, an apply-to-all row fills Document Type, Discipline, Status, Set and Revision Date for every sheet. Impact Large drawing sets register in a fraction of the clicks, with the right sheet ending up as the current revision. (1) Drag sheets that share a drawing number into order, oldest at the top. (2) Stack all follows that order. (3) Apply to all sheets sets Document Type, Discipline, Status, Set and Revision Date once for the whole set. Fixes The Weekly Progress Report PDF prints the lookahead Downloading the Weekly Progress Report as a PDF showed task names next to a blank lookahead timeline. The bars and milestones now print, so the PDF matches the screen. (1) The Lookahead page of the Weekly Progress Report PDF. (2) Task bars, group summary bars and milestones now print, matching the screen. Draft head contract progress claims have $ and % entry back Editing a draft head contract progress claim had lost the percentage entry available when you first create a claim. Draft claims now offer the same $ and % entry as a new claim. (1) Every line on a draft head contract progress claim has the $ and % switch again, the same as a new claim. (2) Shown here on a claim reopened for editing while still in Draft. Documents uploaded to a form's Linked Records now appear Uploading a document through Linked Records on a form submission (a permit, inspection or any other form) looked successful, but the file never showed on the submission. Uploaded and linked documents now appear in Linked Records and stay there. (1) The Linked Records count now includes linked documents. (2) Documents linked to a permit appear under CDE Documents with their file names, and stay there after a refresh. The Site Inductions register shows full names, company and role The Site Inductions register could show only a first name and leave Company and Role blank, even though the record itself held them. The register now shows the full name, company and role captured on the induction form. (1) Full name, company and role now show in the Site Inductions register, matching what was captured on the induction form. The subcontractor portal programme keeps its horizontal scroll bar in view On a long programme, subcontractors had to scroll to the bottom of the page to reach the Gantt's horizontal scroll bar. The portal programme now sits in a fixed-height view like the builder's, with its scroll bars always visible. (1) The horizontal scroll bar stays in view at the bottom of the programme. (2) The Gantt has its own vertical scroll bar, so the page no longer scrolls. (3) The column header stays pinned as rows scroll. Got feedback on any of these?
