What Got Shipped Today - 9/10/26 - See where every bid stands, give clients document control, and variations that read like you priced them

9 October 2026 Features Know where every invited subcontractor stands on a bid package User story As an estimator running a tender, I want to see at a glance who is quoting, who has declined and who has gone quiet, so I chase the right people before the tender closes. Before The bid package Status snapshot counted invitations, views and downloads. Whether a subcontractor was actually pricing the job lived in your inbox and your memory. After The Status snapshot now tracks each invitee's response as well as their engagement. New tiles show how many are Quoting, Not quoting, Quoted and Undecided, and each invitee in the list carries their own state, with the quoted amount once a quote arrives. A received quote always takes priority over what a subcontractor said they would do. Use Show to narrow the list to the people you need to chase. Impact Chase lists write themselves. You can see which trades are covered and which need another call days before the close date, not on the morning of it. (1) The new response tiles: Quoting, Not quoting, Quoted and Undecided. (2) Each invitee shows their own state, with the quoted amount once a quote is in. Known limitations Quoting and Not quoting are what the subcontractor tells you, so treat them as a signal. A received quote is the only hard proof. Give your client document control, with Read or Write folder sharing User story As a contract administrator, I want a trusted client representative to file the revised drawings they issue straight into our register, without giving every client user that power. Before Only the builder's team could file a notice's drawings into the Document Register. Folder shares with another company were always read only, so there was no way to let a client add to a folder. After A new Document Control permission sits under Client Features in Admin > Security > Roles. When it is ticked, a client portal user can file a drawing from a notice into the Document Register as the next revision, into folders shared with their company at Write. When you share a folder with a company you now choose Read or Write, and you can change the level of an existing share at any time. Read is the default, and only your own team can create or change folder shares. Impact Revisions from the client land in the register the moment they are issued, with the notice as their source, and you decide exactly who can file and where. (1) The new Document Control permission in a client portal role. It is off by default. Known limitations Users need to sign out and back in after their role changes. Uploading through the portal's own Explorer is not included yet. Flick through a drawing set from the Document Register and the Explorer drawer User story As a site manager checking a set of drawings, I want to move from one sheet to the next without going back to the list every time. Before Opening a drawing from the Document Register, or from View / Markup in the Explorer side drawer, gave you a single file and a back arrow. After The viewer now opens with the full set: a thumbnail strip, a position counter, previous and next arrows and a file dropdown. From the Document Register, the set follows your current filters, grouping and sort, so you page through exactly the drawings you were looking at. Impact Reviewing a 50-sheet set is one continuous pass instead of 50 round trips. Known limitations The set is fixed when the viewer opens. The portal register, Transmittals and Submittals do not have set navigation yet. Improvements Head contract variations show one row per variation User story As a commercial manager, I want to see each approved variation as one line on the Schedule of Values, the way I priced and agreed it with the client. Before The head contract Schedule of Values Preview listed variations as loose cost code lines. Two variations could show as "11 approved", with no way to tell which line belonged to which variation. After Each approved variation is now a single row with its number, title, cost, sell, balance, Claimed % and Certified %. Expand a row to see its line items underneath. The section header counts variations, not lines. Impact The SOV reads the way the client sees your variations, and reconciling a claim against them takes seconds. (1) The Variations header now counts variations, not cost code lines. (2) Each variation is one row; expand it to see its line items. Known limitations Pending variations are listed separately and are not grouped. Head contract progress claims keep their current layout for now. The Document Register remembers where you were User story As a document controller, I want to open a drawing, close it, and land back exactly where I left the register. Before Coming back from a document dropped you at the top of the register with your search and filters cleared. After Returning from a document (with the in-page back arrow or the browser's back button) restores your search, column filters, sort, grouping, selection and scroll position. The document you just viewed is scrolled into view and briefly highlighted. Impact Working down a long register is no longer a game of finding your place again. Known limitations The register reloads on return, so it can take a few seconds to settle back into position. The portal register is not included yet. Subcontract SOV lines pick up the cost code from the programme User story As a contract administrator building a subcontract SOV, I want linking a programme task to bring its cost code with it, and I need to tell same-named tasks apart. Before Linking a programme task to an SOV line left the cost code empty, so it had to be keyed in again. The task picker showed task names only, so "Level 2 Framing" in one stage looked identical to "Level 2 Framing" in another. After Linking a task now adds its cost code to the line automatically. The cost code field accepts more than one code and stays editable, and linking only ever adds codes, never replaces ones you set. The task picker shows each task's phase path and progress underneath its name. Impact SOVs are built faster, line up with the programme, and carry the right cost codes into the Budget Register from day one. Known limitations The phase path is not in the head contract SOV task picker yet. Save Draft tells you exactly which fields are missing User story As a contract administrator setting up a new head contract, I want to know which required field is stopping me from saving. Before Save Draft on a new head contract answered "Please fill in all required fields", with nothing highlighted. After Save Draft now names each missing field, outlines it, and scrolls you to the first one. Impact No more hunting through a long form for the one empty box. Explorer list view: resize the Name column, keep your widths, and read dates the ANZ way User story As a document controller with long drawing file names, I want to see the full name in Explorer and have the table stay the way I set it. Before In the Explorer list view the Name column could not be widened, resizing other columns pushed into the Folders panel, widths reset on reload, and Date Uploaded read 2026-10-09. After The Name column can be resized, columns resize within the table without squeezing the Folders panel, and your widths are saved for next time. Date Uploaded now reads day first (09/10/2026), with the time underneath, and still sorts correctly. Impact Full file names on screen, and a list view that stays set up the way you work. Built-in document layouts check your Company Settings, and claim emails show the amount due User story As a commercial manager, I want every PO and agreement we send to carry our full company details, and every claim email to show the figure the client actually owes. Before POs and subcontract agreements using the System default layout could be downloaded, sent or e-signed with blank company details, because only custom templates checked Company Settings. Head contract claim emails showed the gross amount. After Documents using the System default layout now get the same check as custom templates. If your company name, ABN, phone, address or email is missing, Deep Space names the missing setting before the document goes out. Head contract claim emails now show Amount Due excluding and including GST. Impact Nothing leaves the platform missing your details, and the claim email matches the claim. Known limitations If your Company Settings are incomplete, PO and agreement downloads, sends and e-signing will be held until they are filled in. Check Admin > Company Settings if you see the message. The New Budget Adjustment window can be resized User story As a QS moving budget between cost codes, I want room to see every column while I build the adjustment. Before The New Budget Adjustment window was a fixed size and cut off the Type column. After The window can now be resized and maximised, so every column is visible. Impact Budget transfers are built with the whole picture on screen. Fixes Subcontract Claimed % is accurate, with Certified % alongside User story As a contract administrator, I want the Claimed % on a subcontract SOV to match what was actually claimed, and to see what has been certified next to it. Before The subcontract Schedule of Values could show Claimed % figures well over 100%. After Claimed % now uses the latest submitted claim, and a Certified % column sits right beside it. Impact Claimed and certified progress read side by side, so the gap between them is obvious. (1) Claimed % and the new Certified % column sit side by side on the subcontract Schedule of Values. DS Site photos added after a form is created now come through on every form User story As a site manager, I want every photo I attach to a diary or inspection in DS Site to reach the Deep Space web app, even if I add it a moment after starting the form. Before Photos attached in DS Site a few seconds after a form was created could go missing in the Deep Space web app on every form except Site Photos. After Late-attached photos and files are now picked up on every form type, including site diaries, inductions and RFIs. Impact The site record is complete without anyone re-uploading photos. Known limitations Files attached more than about 20 minutes after a form is created can still be missed. Compare Bids no longer scrolls into blank space Before On packages where KAI scope levelling had run, scrolling to the bottom of Compare Bids ran on into a large blank white area. After The page now stops at the end of the content. The Invoice Inbox opens even when an invoice has no received date Before One invoice missing its received date could stop the whole Invoice Inbox from loading. After The inbox loads and shows a dash in place of the missing date. No more false "sync failed" banners after an approval Before After an approval, some records showed a red "sync failed" banner even though everything had gone through, prompting people to fix records that were already correct. After The banner only appears when a sync has actually failed, and its wording now matches the type of record you are looking at. The text style menu in the formatting toolbar is readable again Before In the notice composer and Notice Templates, the text style menu (Normal, Heading and so on) was squashed and showed only dots. After The menu opens at full height with the current style visible. Have feedback or ideas? Tell us through the feedback portal in the platform. We read every one.
