What Got Shipped Today - 6/10/26 - Packages for every trade in one pass, emails that live on the notice, and approvals that keep their history

6 October 2026 Features Create a package for every trade in one pass, with trades grouped by discipline User story As an estimator setting up a tender, I was creating bid packages one trade at a time from a single long list, so I can now tick every trade I need, grouped the way my team thinks about them, and create them together. Before The new package wizard took one trade per run. Every trade in the workspace sat in one long, flat list, so setting up a full tender meant running the wizard over and over and scrolling for each trade. After The trade picker now groups trades by discipline, with a select all on each group. Tick as many trades as you need and Deep Space creates one package per trade in a single run. Admins can apply the standard discipline grouping to their trade list in one click from Company Settings › Trades, and a banner reports how many trades matched and how many still need filing by hand. A package can also now be created before you have chosen who to invite. Impact Standing up a full tender goes from dozens of wizard runs to one. The list reads the way your estimators already think (structure, services, finishes), so nothing gets missed. Known limitations The grouping is not applied automatically. Until an admin applies it in Company Settings › Trades, every trade shows in one Unassigned group. Trades your workspace has renamed or created itself will need filing by hand. (1) Tick as many trades as you need and Deep Space shows how many packages it will create, one per trade. Emails linked from the Project Inbox now show inside the notice User story As a contract administrator, I link the emails behind an RFI or instruction to the notice, so I can now read that correspondence right where the notice lives instead of hunting for it in the inbox. Before Linking an email to a notice from the Project Inbox recorded the link, but the notice itself never showed it. Anyone reading the notice had no idea the email existed. After A Linked emails card now sits in the notice's side rail. Open it, or the matching entry in the notice Activity, to read the full thread in a read-only panel. Each link and unlink is recorded in Activity, and you can unlink from the notice or from the thread header in the Project Inbox, each behind a confirmation. Impact The notice becomes the full record: what was issued, and every email that shaped it, in one place. That is exactly what you need when a claim or dispute lands months later. Format the main text of a notice, including simple tables User story As a contract administrator writing an RFI or instruction, I was stuck with plain text for questions that need structure, so I can now use headings, lists and a simple table and have them carry through to everything the recipient sees. Before The main text of a notice was a plain text box. Numbered questions, sub-items and quantity schedules had to be typed as flat lines, and the issued email and PDF lost any layout you tried to fake. After The notice composer now has a formatting toolbar for headings, bold, italic, underline, and numbered and bulleted lists (Tab for sub-items), plus simple tables you can insert and edit. Formatting is kept when you save and reopen a draft, and carries through to the notice page, the issue email, the issued PDF, the client portal and an instruction passed on to a subcontractor. Notices without formatting look exactly as before. Impact A multi-part RFI reads the way you wrote it, so whoever answers can respond item by item instead of guessing where one question ends and the next begins. Known limitations Rendering in the classic Outlook desktop app for Windows has not been checked yet. (1) The new formatting toolbar in the notice composer, with a numbered list and a simple table in an RFI question. Improvements The public transmittal page carries your company's logo User story As a document controller, I issue transmittals to clients who don't have a Deep Space login, so the page they land on now looks like it came from my company. Before The transmittal email showed your company logo, but the View & Download page it linked to had no branding at all, just the transmittal ID, message and document table. After The public transmittal page now shows your company logo at the top, taken from the same Company Settings field as the email. Workspaces without a logo show the Deep Space wordmark instead, and a branded page carries a small "Powered by Deep Space" footer. The page works on desktop and mobile. Impact A client clicking through from your email lands on a page that matches it. Your document control looks as professional on the way out as it does inside the platform. (1) The public View & Download page carries the logo at the top. This workspace has no logo set, so it falls back to the Deep Space wordmark. My Approvals keeps a record of finished approvals, and a cancelled PO closes its approval User story As an approver, I lost sight of approvals the moment they closed, and cancelled POs left approvals hanging, so I can now see every approval I took part in and trust that a cancelled record clears itself. Before Cancelling a purchase order left its approval sitting as pending. Once an approval closed, it vanished from My Approvals, so approvers lost the trail, and the approval history labelled a cancellation as "Commented". After Cancelling a PO now cancels its approval. My Approvals has a new Finished tab listing every approval you acted on that has since been approved, rejected, cancelled or revoked. Cancelled and revoked rows show their reason in every tab, so a requester can see why under Requested by me, and the history now reads "Cancelled". Impact Approvers keep their audit trail, requesters get an answer instead of silence, and nobody is chasing an approval for a PO that no longer exists. (1) The new Finished tab in My Approvals lists every approval you took part in once it is approved, rejected, cancelled or revoked. Contact support links straight to your support tickets User story As a user with an open support request, I wanted to check where it was at, so I can now jump from the Contact support page to every ticket I have raised. Before The Contact support page mentioned existing tickets but gave you nowhere to go to see them. After The line about existing tickets now links to the support portal, where you can see and reply to every ticket you have open or closed with us. It opens in a new tab. Impact One click from the platform to the status of your request, without digging through your inbox. (1) The line about existing tickets on the Contact support page now links to the customer portal. Your Company logo in the header is readable User story As a user moving around the platform, I couldn't make out the logo in the top-left header, so it now renders at a size you can read. Before The logo was squeezed into a small square box, so the wide wordmark rendered at roughly 32 by 4.5 pixels. After The logo keeps its proportions and renders at about 120 pixels wide, balanced against your workspace name. Impact A small fix on the one element every user sees on every page. (1) The Company [Deep Space logo in this example] now sits at a readable size beside the workspace name in the top-left header. Fixes PO Balance Remaining no longer counts invoices still in Draft in Xero User story As a project manager, I watched PO balances go negative before an invoice was even approved, so Balance Remaining now only moves for invoices Xero has actually approved. Before Supplier invoices still in Draft in Xero were subtracted from Balance Remaining on the PO register, pushing balances below zero. After Balance Remaining now excludes invoices still in Draft in Xero. The PO side panel shows the held-back amount on its own "Pending in Xero (not counted)" row, and the Balance Remaining cell explains it on hover. A PO can't be closed out while an invoice against it is still pending in Xero. Impact A PO balance you can rely on, with nothing hidden: the pending amount is still visible, it just stops pretending to be spent. Head contract variations show the cost code name and the sell value while you build them User story As a contract administrator building a head contract variation, I saw a raw ID instead of the cost code and my cost instead of my client's price, so the screen now shows what I'm actually pricing. Before On the New Variation screen, scope lines showed the cost code as a long system ID until the variation was created. The Add Scope Item preview showed Variation Impact at cost, not at the value the client pays. After Staged scope lines now read the cost code by name (for example "CC-09-28 - Glazing"), matching the variation drawer. The Add Scope Item preview shows Variation Impact at sell, falling back to cost only while no sell is priced. Impact The number in front of you while you build a client variation is the number your client will see. (1) A staged scope line on the New Variation screen now reads its cost code by name, priced at sell. Progress claim PDFs show only certified amounts in the Previous column User story As a commercial manager, I need the Previous column on a claim to show what was actually certified, so a line the client assessed at zero now stays at zero. Before Where a prior line was certified at $0 or left blank, the progress claim PDF fell back to the claimed amount. Previous was overstated, Balance to Finish could go negative, and the header showed the wrong previous certified figure. After Previous, Previously Approved and the header now carry certified amounts only. A $0 assessment stays $0, and This Period uses the assessment when there is one. Impact Claim documents that reconcile to the certificate, so you are not explaining a phantom balance to your client or subbie. Negative amounts can be entered on PO and subcontract invoice lines User story As an accounts user, I needed to invoice a credit against an approved negative PO variation, so I can now type the minus sign and have it stick. Before A minus sign typed on a supplier invoice or subcontract claim line was silently dropped, so an approved negative PO variation line could never be invoiced. After Invoice and claim line amounts, and the unit price in the Invoice Inbox, now accept negative values. Line checks and the PO register's balance warnings handle credits correctly. An invoice that nets to zero still belongs in the credit note flow. Impact Credits flow through the same register as everything else, with no workaround. Head contract tax invoices carry the Xero invoice number User story As a finance user who lets Xero number our invoices, I need the document my client receives to match Xero, so the tax invoice now uses the Xero number. Before With Pull Xero Invoice Number switched on, the client was invoiced under Xero's number, but the Tax Invoice document and its PDF filename used Deep Space's own reference. After The Tax Invoice document now shows the number Xero assigned, and the PDF file is named after it. Impact One invoice number everywhere: in Xero, on the document and in your client's accounts payable. Head contract variation lines without a cost code are flagged before you submit User story As a contract administrator, I need every variation line to land in the Budget Register, so Deep Space now stops me submitting a line that would quietly drop out. Before A head contract variation line with no cost code (common on lines imported from a subcontract variation) posted nothing to the Budget Register, and nothing on screen said so. After Uncoded lines show an amber "No cost code" marker in the pricing table and import grid. Submit Variation stays disabled, with a message naming each line that needs a code, until they are fixed. Impact Pending variation cost and projected budget stay complete, with no silent gaps to find at month end. (1) An uncoded line carries an amber "No cost code" marker, and Submit Variation stays disabled with a message naming the line. Awarding a tender now files bid submissions in the CDE User story As an estimator awarding a package, I expect the winning bid's documents to follow the job into delivery, so they now land in the project's document control automatically. Before When a bid was awarded and converted to a subcontract, the bid's submission files were meant to be copied into the project CDE, but the copy never succeeded. After On conversion, submission files are now filed in the CDE under Preconstruction › Tenders › Submissions, organised by package, trade and company. Impact The documents your subcontract was priced on sit with the project from day one. Pin to Plan can link RFIs and other notices again User story As a project manager marking up a drawing, I pin RFIs to the spot they relate to, so the Link Record to Pin picker now finds the notices in my Notice register. Before Link Record to Pin looked for RFIs and Site Instructions in the old DS Site forms list, so notices raised in the Notice register showed "0 records found". Clicking an older pinned RFI opened the Notice register instead of the record. After A new Notices category in the picker lists the project's notices grouped by type, with reference, subject, due date and status, plus a search box. Drafts are left out, matching the register. The old Request for Information and Site Instruction entries under Delivery are removed. Clicking a pinned notice opens that notice. The same Notices category also appears when you link records from other records. Impact The drawing and the question about it are one click apart again. Known limitations Linking is one way for now: the pin shows the notice, but the notice does not list the drawing. Raising a new RFI straight from a pin is coming separately. Have feedback or an idea?
