What Got Shipped Today - 5/10/26 - Transmittals that read like a formal record, a WIP date you can stand behind, notice emails that survive Outlook

5 October 2026 Improvements Transmittal emails your client can file as a formal record User story As a project manager issuing documents to a client, I was sending transmittal emails that didn't say who received them or when, so I can now send a transmittal that stands on its own as a document control record. Before The transmittal email showed a floating, unlabelled message, called your company a "Workspace", left out the recipients and the date, and told anyone without a login to "navigate to the relevant section". After Each recipient you pick gets a To or CC switch when you create or edit a transmittal. The email now shows Company, Project, Transmittal ID, Transmittal Date, Issued By (name and company) and the recipients split into To and CC. The message sits in its own aligned section, the button reads "View & Download", and the fallback line gives a plain-language direct link that works without a Deep Space login. Impact The transmittal is often the first thing a client or consultant sees from you. It now carries the evidence a builder needs (who received which documents, and when) and reads like it came from a professional document controller. Known limitations Transmittals issued before today read every recipient as To. WIP Pract Comp counts granted EoT days only, with pending days flagged as "at risk" User story As a commercial manager reviewing the WIP report, I was seeing a Practical Completion date that quietly included EoT days the client hadn't granted yet, so I can now trust the date and still see what's in play. Before The Pract Comp column mixed submitted but undecided EoT days into the anticipated completion date, contradicting its own tooltip ("including approved EoTs"). After Pract Comp now moves only for granted EoTs, which is what the Date for Practical Completion means under AS 4000. Any pending days sit beside the date in an amber "at risk +N d" badge, so nothing is hidden. Impact The date you take into a WIP meeting is the contractual one, and the exposure from undecided claims is one glance away instead of baked into the figure. Known limitations Projects with pending EoTs will see Pract Comp move earlier by the number of pending days. The Pract Comp date now counts granted EoT days only, and the amber "at risk +10d" badge beside it shows the 10 pending days still waiting on a decision. Cash flow forecasts run to your contract's completion date User story As a project manager forecasting cash flow, my forecast stopped at a default 12 months whenever Project Settings had no completion date, so I can now see the full run of the job from the contract I already entered. Before The cash flow grid and the monthly Forecast to Complete spread only looked at Project Settings. With no date there, they fell back to a 12-month window, even when the head contract stated a completion date. After The forecast window now resolves in order: your forecast finish date, the Practical Completion milestone, the planned completion, then the head contract's completion date (actual, then EoT-adjusted, then original). A date that has already passed is skipped, so a stale date can't squeeze the remaining cost into a single month. Impact Peak funding and months underwater are measured across the whole job, not cut off at an arbitrary year end. Nearly 50 live projects gained a real forecast window from their contract today. Fixes Notice emails render properly in classic Outlook on Windows User story As a builder issuing RFIs and site instructions, my recipients on classic Outlook for Windows were getting a broken-looking email, so every notice now lands looking the way I previewed it. Before In classic Outlook on Windows the notice email stretched to the full width of the reading pane, the "Issued to" rows staircased out of alignment, table text fell back to a default typewriter font, and the "View in Deep Space" button collapsed to a thin sliver. After The email is now a centred card with aligned recipient columns, one consistent font throughout and a full-size button. Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook for Mac and Outlook on the web look exactly as they did. Chasers, forwards and workspaces without a logo are covered too. Impact Consultants and subcontractors on Windows Outlook (often the majority on a commercial job) now get a notice that looks as formal as the contract behind it. A sample RFI opened in classic Outlook on Windows after the fix. 1. The "Issued to" recipients now line up in clean columns. 2. The "View RFI in Deep Space" button renders at full size. Tender and opportunity dates now carry through and tell the truth User story As an estimator running the Tender Tracker, I was retyping dates on every converted tender and seeing an "Expected Award" that was really the project start date, so I can now rely on the dates in front of me. Before Convert to Tender copied only the Submission Date and dropped Expected Award and Expected Tender Arrival. The tender drawer filled a blank Expected Award with the project start date, showed two "Project Start" rows that disagreed, and silently lost date edits made in the Project Info modal. Planned dates set in Project Settings never reached the Tender Tracker or the Opportunity drawer. After Converting an opportunity now carries Expected Award and Expected Tender Arrival onto the tender, and a tender created with a new project gives its opportunity a submission date. Expected Award shows only a real award date, or a dash when there isn't one. The second row is now labelled "Forecast Start" and appears only when a forecast exists. Start and finish dates in the Project Info modal are read-only, with a pointer to Project Settings, Dates & Milestones, where they are maintained. Planned dates you set there now show in the Tender Tracker and Opportunity drawer. Impact No more retyping dates at conversion, and no more blank fields dressed up as real dates. The pipeline cards and "Upcoming Submissions" tile fill in properly, and site weather keeps updating on delayed projects. A tender converted from an opportunity now arrives with its Expected Award date already filled in. With no award date set, Expected Award now shows a dash instead of borrowing the project start date.
