What Got Shipped Today - 17/7/26

17 July 2026 A big day on the commercial and procurement side. The approval engine now reaches deep into the head contract payment chain, purchase orders got smarter about GST and rejections, and a couple of sharp fixes landed on tenders and notifications. Features Approvals Reach the Head Contract Payment Chain User Story As a commercial manager, I had no way to force a sign-off before a head contract progress claim or payment schedule went out, so I can now route every claim through an internal approval before it is issued. Before. There was no internal approval on the head contract payment chain. A progress claim or payment schedule could be issued with no sign-off, and nothing recorded who had cleared it. After. Head contract progress claims, invoices and payment schedules now run on the same approval engine as purchase orders, invoices and subcontracts. The claim or schedule is blocked from being issued until approval is complete, and the platform stamps who approved it and when on the record timeline. Impact. Money cannot leave through the head contract without the right person putting their name to it. Your delegation of authority now holds on the payment side, not just procurement, and the audit trail writes itself. Run Head Contracts From Draft to Executed, On Platform User Story As a commercial manager, once a head contract was set up I had to manage its approval and signing off platform, so I can now take it from draft through internal approval and out for signature without leaving the contract. Before. The head contract drawer showed documents, claims, payment schedules, retention and securities, but had no Agreement tab. There was no controlled path to move a head contract from draft through approval and execution, so that lifecycle happened in email and shared drives. After. The head contract drawer now carries an Agreement tab, matching the one on subcontracts. See the contract status, the agreement template in use and its supporting documents in one place, submit for internal approval, then issue for signature (manual upload of the executed copy, or send for e-signature). Once executed, the signed contract is filed under the CDE automatically. The lifecycle state is shown clearly, from Draft through Pending approval, Approved, Issued or Awaiting signatures, to Executed. Impact. Head contracts get the same controlled, on-platform execution path subcontracts already have. No more managing your most valuable contract off to the side, and no more hunting for the signed copy later. Exclude GST on Individual Purchase Order Lines User Story As someone raising a purchase order, I could not mark a single line as GST free when the rest of the order was taxable, so I can now tick Exclude GST per line and have the totals do the right thing. Before. GST applied across the whole purchase order. A mixed order with some GST free lines meant working the tax out by hand or splitting the order. After. Each purchase order line item now has an Exclude GST checkbox, sitting alongside the Unit Price and Total Amount controls. GST is calculated on the taxable lines only, while the subtotal and the stored ex-GST amount still include every line, so budgets, approvals and accounting semantics are unchanged. Impact. Mixed-tax orders are raised correctly in one pass, with the GST figure right the first time and nothing to reconcile afterwards. Improvements Rejected Purchase Orders Can Be Fixed and Resubmitted User Story As the person who submitted a purchase order for approval, a rejection used to kill it dead, so I can now fix the order and send it back through approval without starting over. Before. A purchase order rejected in the approval workflow was cancelled outright. Its value dropped out of your in-flight exposure and there was no way to correct and resubmit it, the order simply had to be rebuilt from scratch. After. A rejected purchase order now lands in a Review Required status (amber badge, filterable in the register) instead of being cancelled, so its value stays visible as in-flight exposure. The person who submitted it can edit and resubmit it, which kicks off a fresh approval run, while the original rejection stays in the history. Everyone else sees a read-only explanation. Impact. A knock-back becomes a quick correction rather than a rebuild. Your exposure numbers stay honest, and only the right person can push the order back into approval. Known limitations. Only purchase orders rejected from today forward pick up the new Review Required status. Orders rejected earlier remain cancelled. Invoice Inbox Now Recognises Consultants User Story As someone processing invoices in the inbox, I could only match an incoming invoice to a subcontractor or supplier, so I can now select a consultant as the vendor too. Before. Vendor selection on an inbox invoice did not offer consultants, so consultant invoices could not be matched cleanly to the party they came from. After. Consultants now appear as a vendor option when you select who an invoice belongs to in the inbox. Impact. Consultant invoices flow through the same clean matching path as everyone else, with no workarounds. Purchase Order Quantities Held to Two Decimal Places User Story As someone entering purchase order quantities, stray extra decimals crept into the numbers, so I can now trust that a quantity is capped at two decimal places. Before. Purchase order unit quantities accepted more than two decimal places, letting untidy or over-precise figures into orders. After. Quantities are now limited to two decimal places. Impact. Cleaner, more predictable order values and less rounding noise downstream. Fixes Tender Package Email Links No Longer Expire Early User Story As a subcontractor invited to tender, the link in my invitation email stopped working before I could open the package, so I can now follow the link and reach the tender as intended. Before. The access link in tender package invitation emails expired too soon, leaving invited parties unable to open the package they had been sent. After. Tender package email links now stay valid, so recipients can open the package when they act on the invitation. Impact. Tender invitations reach the people who need them and stay usable, removing a chase-up that could cost you coverage on a package. Action Notifications Show the Right Status and Land in the Right Place User Story As someone acting on a notification, the status was stale and the link sent me to the wrong screen, so I can now trust the notification and go straight to where the action lives. Before. Action notifications did not reflect the current status and did not always direct you to the right place, so you could act on out-of-date information or land on the wrong screen. After. Notifications now carry the correct action status and route you to the right destination. Impact. Fewer wasted clicks and no acting on stale information. What the notification says is what you will find when you follow it. Keep the feedback coming, we're here to listen to you, and thanks for your support. You can raise anything through the feedback portal in the platform.
