What Got Shipped Today - 15/7/26

Three updates land today across Document Control, Delivery, and DS Site. The theme: less downloading, less re-filing, and the site feeding the office without double entry. Open saved emails right inside Project Documents Email files sat in your folders as opaque blobs. Reading one meant download, open in Outlook on the desktop, and lose your place in the platform. Now, click the view icon on any .eml or .msg file in Project Documents and it opens in the file viewer, the same flow as a PDF. Sender, recipients, subject, date, and body render in the browser, and the email's own attachments are listed and openable. Works across list, grid, and thumbnail views, and in the detail drawer. Email is where half the project record lives. Now the correspondence you filed against the job reads like part of the job, not a detour to your desktop. Remote images are blocked by default for privacy, with a one-click option to load them. Known limitations: some older .msg files store their body in a format that renders as plain text, and emails nested inside emails are download-only for now. Upload a whole folder, contents and all Folder upload used to bring across the folder, not its contents. The workaround was zipping everything, uploading the zip, then downloading it back out of Deep Space just to see what was inside. Now, upload a folder, or drag one straight into Project Documents, and the full nested structure comes with it. Every file at every level lands as a first-class, viewable document. No zip round-trip. Handover packs, consultant drops, and drawing sets arrive the way they left the sender: organised. What used to be an afternoon of re-filing is now one drag. Raise an RFI from DS Site, straight into the office workflow DS Site had an RFI form, but it wasn't connected to the RFI engine in the Deep Space web app. What got raised on site had to be re-keyed by someone in the office before it became a real RFI. Now, submit an RFI from DS Site and it arrives in the Deep Space web app as a draft RFI, the same pattern as raising a PO from site. The project team reviews the draft, tidies it up, and issues it. Nothing raised in the field gets lost between the site shed and the office. The question gets captured the moment it exists, on the phone of the person standing in front of the problem. The office stops being a transcription service and starts being a review step. One record, no double entry, full trail from site to issued RFI. We build Deep Space with our customers, and today's updates came straight from your feedback. Spotted something that would make your day easier? Tell us through the feedback portal in the platform, we read every submission.
