Custom Contract Profiles Now Say What They Are

Published: 14 July 2026 User Story: As a Project Manager reviewing subcontracts, I would open one marked Custom Profile and have no idea what terms actually governed it, so I can now see exactly what the custom agreement is, recorded at creation. Before: Selecting Custom Profile in Create New Subcontract recorded nothing beyond the word "custom". The platform knew the subcontract was non-standard but held no record of what the terms actually were. Months later, anyone reviewing variations, payment rules, or retention had to go digging. After: Choose Custom Profile and a required Custom Contract Profile field appears directly beneath it. Describe the agreement in your own words, an amended AS4902, bespoke subcontract terms, client-specific conditions, whatever it is. The description is saved on the subcontract and displayed on its overview from then on. The field is informational and recorded for auditability. It does not change your SOPA or CCA settings, retention logic, or payment rules, those stay controlled by jurisdiction and your configured toggles. Impact: "Custom" is no longer a meaningless bucket. Everyone downstream, project managers, finance, legal, can see at a glance what a non-standard subcontract actually is, without leaving the platform. Explicit configuration over silent assumptions. Keep the feedback coming, we're here to listen to you, and thanks for your support.
