Preconstruction Dashboard, smarter invoice control, and documents that announce themselves
Today's update is about command and control. Preconstruction gets a live dashboard that answers "where is everything?" in seconds. Invoicing gets end-to-end visibility, from inbox to Xero. And your project documents can now keep the whole team current, automatically. 📊 Your Preconstruction command centre One screen for everything that happens before the build. The new Preconstruction Dashboard brings opportunities, tenders, estimates and proposals into a single live view: open and weighted pipeline value, win rate, tender deadlines with risk flags, estimator workload, and an opportunity board that mirrors your own configured stages. Until now, answering "what closes this week, where is estimating stuck, and what is our pipeline actually worth?" meant a tour through five separate pages. Now it takes one glance. Estimate once, see it everywhere. Tender values on the Tender Register now flow live from the linked estimate in Estimation, GM % included, so the register never drifts out of date when pricing moves. Proposal totals follow the same rule: the Proposal Builder list now shows the real calculated total for every draft, in step with the Quote Summary and the proposal PDF. 📋 A Tender Register that speaks tender The Tender Register also picked up a series of uplifts this week, shaped directly by estimator feedback: Incoming Tenders is now the Tender Register. Same page, right name: this is your head-contract tender log, not incoming subbie quotes. Summary tiles that mean something. Live tenders, Closing this week, Submitted awaiting result, and a rolling 12 month win rate, all computed from the same stages as the list below them. One Stage, one Outcome. Three overlapping lifecycle dropdowns collapse into a single stage flow with a separate outcome of Won, Lost or No Bid. A tender can no longer be In Progress and Submitted at the same time. Sort by what closes next. The Closes column is now sortable, so the tenders that need attention first sit at the top. No more false alarms. Estimated close dates no longer flash red as Overdue, and unpriced tenders no longer read like errors. A new Overview & Conditions tab captures each tender's contractual conditions in one place, straight off the tender documents. Detail drawer tabs now deep-link to Estimation and Documents, keeping one source of truth instead of holding copies. 💰 Invoicing you can trust end to end See exactly where every invoice stands. The Invoice Register now shows a dedicated Xero column, separate from Payment Authorised. Authorised internally but not yet pushed to your accounting system? You will know at a glance, instead of finding out at month end. Your Invoice Inbox, decluttered. Anything that lands in the inbox by mistake (marketing email, statements, duplicates) can now be archived or deleted, one at a time or in bulk, right alongside Bulk Route to Register. The inbox becomes what it should be: a clean queue of real invoices waiting for action. Payment terms that match the contract. "End of month plus 30 days" terms now calculate exactly as they read: from the end of the submission month, no matter when in the month the claim landed. Due dates you can actually forecast cash against. 🛡️ Payment claims built for the Act The Head Contract Progress Claim view has been rebuilt as a full-height drawer with five tabs: Overview, Schedule of Values, Client Response, Activity & Notes, and Documents. It shows the complete financial position of every claim (claimed to date, certified to date, retention, GST, contract sum and completion) with a clear lifecycle from Draft through Submitted, Certified and Paid, and an activity trail on the claim itself. It is also jurisdiction-aware. Statutory references, response timeframes and the "this is a payment claim under the Act" endorsement adapt to the project's jurisdiction, covering the Australian SOPA family and New Zealand's CCA. One deliberate Serve Payment Claim action replaces the two ambiguous buttons of the old modal, so a claim can never sit in a misleading half-served state. Underneath it all sits a guarantee: your base Schedule of Values is now locked. Approving a variation will never rewrite the original contract values again. Variations sit alongside the SOV, exactly as your client expects to see them, and the head contract itself can only be edited while in Draft. 🤝 Documents that announce themselves Stop chasing people to check the drive. Project Settings now includes a Distribution List: choose the people who should hear about project document activity, your team and external parties, grouped by company. Then flick on Distribution List Notifications for any shared Explorer folder. Whenever files are added, revised or removed, everyone on the list receives a tidy digest email of what changed, batched so ten file changes never means ten emails. Subbies, consultants and clients stay on the latest documents without logging in, and without anyone remembering to send the email. 🗓️ A Construction Programme that keeps up Assign a subcontractor to a hundred tasks at once. Bulk Edit now uses the real directory picker, so bulk assignments resolve to actual companies rather than free text that went nowhere. Only your project's supply chain. Subcontractor pickers now list the companies attached to the project, not your entire directory. No more scrolling through hundreds of suppliers to find the three on this job. Cleaner dependency lines. Overlapping links now offset and highlight, so you can trace exactly which task drives which. Instant project switching. The Gantt refreshes the moment you change projects. No more navigating away and back to see the right programme. 📄 Your documents, your format Purchase Order and Subcontract templates can now mirror the exact formats you issue today: your Terms & Conditions embedded directly in the document, multiple subcontract templates for different contract tiers, and trade-specific schedules per package. Subbies see the same paperwork they have always signed. You just produce it in seconds instead of assembling it by hand. ✨ Quality of life Custom Forms grow beyond HSEQ. Assign any form to the module it belongs to, HSEQ, Delivery and more, and configure the columns its register displays. Submissions from DS Site now land as first-class, filterable register data. Location-verified site sign-ins. Sign-in now checks the person is within 500 metres of the project site, and the location is recorded with the entry. Cost codes now load reliably every time you build a Purchase Order, including the first PO of the day. The user directory now shows every user, every time.
