Faster navigation across Deep Space

Construction teams move between dozens of workflows every day. Procurement packages. RFIs. Programme tasks. Subcontracts. Payment schedules. Documents. If navigation is slow, the entire platform feels slow. This release improves how users move around Deep Space. Navigation has been streamlined to reduce friction, surface the right workflows faster, and make the platform easier to use across real project operations. Combined with the recently released bookmark feature, users can now jump to critical registers, pages and workflows lighting fast. Collapsible navigation sidebar The Deep Space sidebar can now collapse into a compact icon view. This allows users to maximise the workspace while still keeping core modules accessible. When collapsed, only icons remain visible. Hovering expands the module context so users can still move between areas quickly. Why this matters Many project teams operate on laptops in site offices, meeting rooms, or temporary workstations. Screen space matters. Collapsing the navigation allows users to focus on the active workflow without losing fast access to the rest of the platform. Global menu search Deep Space now includes a search field at the top of the navigation sidebar that allows users to instantly find and navigate to any module or workflow. As users type, the navigation menu dynamically filters and surfaces the relevant destination pages inside the platform. This means users no longer need to manually expand multiple modules to find the screen they need. Why this matters Construction teams work across dozens of registers and operational workflows. Finding the correct screen quickly is critical to maintaining momentum during the day. Instead of drilling through nested menus, users can simply type the name of the workflow they want and navigate directly to it. Examples Typing program surfaces the Construction Program page inside the Program module Typing retention surfaces retention registers inside Commercial Typing RFI immediately reveals the RFI register under Correspondence The result is significantly faster navigation across the platform, particularly for new users who may not yet know where every workflow sits. This screenshot clearly demonstrates that the search feature finds the actual page destination, not just the module. Expand all navigation Users can now expand the entire navigation tree with a single click. The Expand All control reveals every module section so users can see the full structure of the platform. Why this matters This is particularly useful during onboarding or when users are exploring new areas of the system. Profile management improvements User profile management is now accessible directly from the top navigation bar. Clicking the user avatar opens a profile menu where users can access account settings. Users can review and update profile information without leaving the dashboard. Avatar support Users can now upload a profile avatar. Avatars help teams quickly identify users across the platform when reviewing activity history, approvals, or collaboration workflows. Simplified logout workflow Logout is now located in the user profile dropdown menu. Account actions are grouped in one predictable location so users can quickly access profile settings or sign out. Works even better with bookmarks These navigation improvements pair closely with the bookmark feature that was recently released. https://feedback.deepspacesync.com/changelog/53349/ Bookmarks allow users to save frequently used screens and return to them instantly. Combined with the new navigation structure and menu search, users can move across Deep Space significantly faster. Examples A contract administrator might bookmark Subcontract Register Progress Claims Payment Schedules A project manager might bookmark Programme Procurement Schedule RFI Register This effectively creates a personalised workspace inside the platform. Why this release matters Navigation is one of the most overlooked aspects of construction software. If teams cannot move quickly across modules, the platform feels slow regardless of how powerful it is. These improvements make Deep Space feel like a true construction operating system where users can move quickly between procurement, commercial, programme, delivery, and documentation workflows. Less searching Less clicking More time managing the project As always, feedback is welcomed. Deep Space Product Team
