🧾 Cost code import review, rebuilt for confidence at scale

Importing cost codes is one of those moments where you slow right down. It usually happens during setup, migrations, or a long-overdue clean-up, and it’s often hundreds of codes at once. This is not a “click next and hope” step. It’s where you’re validating the structure that every budget, commitment, claim, and report will rely on. We’ve reworked the Imported Cost Codes review screen to match that reality. What’s new The cost code import confirmation now gives you a clear, structured view of large datasets, so you can review with confidence before locking anything in. A clear summary banner at the top shows exactly what’s been imported, including total cost codes, parent and child counts, and any missing budget category assignments The modal opens in a much larger, near full-screen view, so you can see far more rows at once Grouping by parent makes it easy to validate hierarchy and inheritance without jumping around Budget category issues are highlighted clearly and remain visible while you scroll, so nothing gets missed Expand and collapse controls let you focus on problem areas instead of scanning blindly This turns the review step into a deliberate check, not a guessing game. Why this matters This screen is typically used by finance and commercial leads during high-stakes moments. You’re often validating 500 to 1,000 plus cost codes in one go, making sure parent-child structures are right and that every code is mapped to the correct budget category. The previous experience made that harder than it needed to be. Too much scrolling, not enough context, and too easy to miss issues right before confirming irreversible data. With these updates, you can now: spot missing budget categories immediately confirm inheritance logic at a glance review large structures without fatigue move forward knowing your cost structure is sound The aim here is simple. When you click confirm, you should feel certain you’ve seen what matters. As always, feedback is welcome.
